Pakistan Day Celebrations 2018 -2021
Pakistan Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the community. A flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Pakistan Club in all these years. National songs were sung. Speeches marking the event were made. Later traditional Pakistani breakfast ‘Halwa puri’ was offered to all the participants.
Pakistan Day celebrations were made in 2019. A large ceremony was held in the outdoor open area., Chief Guest on the occasion with HE Mr. Afzaal Mahmood, Ambassador of Pakistan and Guest of Honour was HE Ms. Sawson Kamal, Member of the Parliament. Flag hoisting ceremony was held, national songs were sung and later ‘Halwa puri’ breakfast was served to all participants as per Club traditions.
Pakistan day celebrations were not made publically in 2020. The message in the GDN newspaper was circulated to the community.
Pakistan Day Celebrations were held at Pakistan Club on 23rd March 2021. The event was attended by a restricted number of community members due to Covid-19 national restrictions. Actg. Ambassador Mr. Hasnain Yousif was the Chief Guest at the event. Speeches were made by the Club representatives and Chief Guest appreciated the Chairman and Board members for organizing the event to mark the occasion. National songs were sung and a flag hoisting ceremony was held. Later traditional Pakistani breakfast was served to the participants as per Club continued traditions.
